Beef....

We only ever sell what we produce here at West Yeo Farm, all our beef comes from our organic herd of Red Ruby Devon Cattle.

Having built our own farm butchery Robert (the butcher) knows good beef. It has to be bred right and fed right! We now supply excellent, well hung, pedigree, organic beef and we only sell our own.

Lamb ...

Lambs are produced in the spring and are ready to go to the abattoir after about 5 - 6 months. So lamb is a seasonal product and because we only sell our own, it is available from July to January. Robert cuts the lamb to customers' requirements in the butchery.

Pork...

Piglets grow quickly on mothers milk and are soon eating our home grown barley meal.

At about 6 months they go off to the abattoir. We hang our pork 2 weeks for good crackling and mature flavour. Dry cured bacon, sausages and hams are all home produced and available to order.

 

Poultry....

After eating a free range organic egg you will not be satisfied with any other. Supermarkets sell organic eggs but they pale by comparison with the eggs from West Yeo. Birds are totally free and they are fed triticale (rye crossed with wheat) and cut maze. The eggs are large and dark brown colour and usually available. They are excellent flavour and slow growing outdoors fed are home grown triticale. We are looking forward to our first crop in December 2007. We also plan to produce organic ducks and guinea fowl, so ring or contact us for availability.
